Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is an approach that was initially developed for individuals who are caught in situations of violence, either as victims or as victims who have become perpetrators in return.
DBT has since been found to work extremely well with chronic suicidal behaviors, and is also applied to mood disorders, substance use, eating disorders and other conditions involving high impulsivity.
This group welcomes a maximum of women from any of these categories, age 18 – 25.
A workbook and materials used in the group process will be supplied. Participants will benefit best if they fully engage.
The sessions will be conducted by Dr. Hazel Da Breo, psychotherapist. She is the founder and director of Sweet Water Foundation.
Refreshments and transport stipend will be provided, along with bus fare for participants.
To register, please WhatsApp the Sweet Water Foundation, at 473-406-8866.
